We at GM Truck Central were able to again cover the Hot August Nights classic car show in 2013. This year we attended the South Lake Tahoe venue. The South Lake Tahoe Experience, as it is called, is much smaller than the Reno/Sparks counterpart. The Lake Tahoe venue consists of the Heavenly Village just over the California border, and the Lot around the Montbleu Casino on the Nevada side.
The venue is beautiful among the trees along highway 50 which winds around the sparkling blue lake. If you're able to adventure out to the South Lake Tahoe experience show, be sure to schedule some extra time to go exploring the area, the views and area attractions are excellent.
Although the amount of cars present at this venue are much less than the Reno/Sparks show, there were some excellent vehicles. Classic cars and trucks are the name of the game at Hot August Nights. Nothing newer than 1972 is entered into the show. There are some excellent classics and rarities, this year included a rare Oakland brand coupe. As we say here at GM Truck Central, We may be GM enthusiasts, but we can appreciate skill, and craftsmanship regardless of brand. So enjoy our photo coverage of the event!
